Two men from Portland went missing while hunting for Bigfoot and were later found dead in Washington’s Gifford Pinchot National Forest
Portland: It’s a sad story. Two guys went out looking for Bigfoot and ended up missing. They were reported missing on Christmas Day after not coming back home.
They set off on Christmas Eve in eastern Skamania County, Washington, but things took a turn for the worse. A big search team, over 60 people strong, was put together to find them.
They even found the men’s vehicle near Willard, but it took three days to locate their bodies in a dense part of Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The sheriff’s office said it looked like they died from exposure due to the harsh weather.
It had been pretty rough out there with snow, rain, and freezing temperatures right before they went missing. The search teams faced tough conditions, which made things even harder.
Bigfoot, or Sasquatch, is this legendary creature folks have been talking about for ages. Some say it’s a big, hairy figure that roams the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
There have been tons of reported sightings, but whether it’s real or just a myth is still up for debate. In Skamania County, there’s even a law that protects Bigfoot, making it illegal to harm it.
