A dramatic car chase in Brighton led to the arrest of two men over the weekend
They spotted a silver Volkswagen Golf that they thought might be stolen. When the driver didn’t stop, things got a bit crazy. He zoomed through Queen’s Park and Hanover, ignoring speed limits and running red lights.
The chase went on for a bit, but the police managed to catch up. They safely stopped the car on Albion Hill. One of the guys jumped out and tried to run, but the officers caught him too.
The driver, a 37-year-old from Brighton, is in trouble for dangerous driving and a bunch of other charges. His buddy, a 21-year-old from Hove, was also arrested for being in a stolen vehicle.
Both of them have been released on bail while the police continue their investigation. Inspector Matt Wightwick mentioned how risky this chase was for everyone involved. Thankfully, no one got hurt, and the police did a great job handling the situation.
