Two men have been found guilty of murdering Tyreece Scott in Hounslow last year, bringing some closure to his family.
Tyreece was only 24 when he was stabbed on Hibernia Road in the early hours of January 16, 2024. Despite the emergency services doing their best, he sadly passed away from his injuries.
The culprits, Ben Laing and Duarra Abdi, were found guilty of murder. Abdi also got hit with a charge for having a knife. They were caught at Stansted Airport after flying back to the UK a few days later.
Detectives did some serious digging, checking CCTV footage and matching a bag Abdi had during the crime to the one he had when they arrested him. They even found searches on his phone about the stabbing, which really helped nail down the case.
Two other guys, Reda Mohamed and Morgan Allen, were also found guilty of messing with the investigation. The lead detective, Ollie Stride, mentioned that they’re still supporting Tyreece’s family and hope this conviction gives them some peace.
He also said that with these guys off the streets, London will be a bit safer. Sentencing is set for February 27 at the Old Bailey, so we’ll see what happens next.
