A tragic stabbing in Milton Keynes leaves two women dead and others injured, prompting a police investigation and an arrest.
Milton Keynes: It’s a sad day in the city after two women lost their lives in a stabbing on Christmas Day. A man and a teenage boy were also hurt, but thankfully, they’re stable now.
Police arrested a 49-year-old man from the area on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. He’s still in custody while the investigation rolls on.
Officers rushed to a block of apartments on Santa Cruz Avenue around 6:30 PM after getting reports of the stabbing. Sadly, the two women, aged 38 and 24, were pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s heartbreaking to hear that a dog was also injured in the incident but didn’t make it. The families of the women have been notified and are getting support from the police.
DCI Stuart Brangwin expressed his condolences to the families and reassured the public that they’ve made an arrest and aren’t looking for anyone else. He mentioned that the people involved knew each other.
There will be a noticeable police presence in the area as they continue their investigation. If anyone has information or footage, they’re encouraged to reach out to the police.
