UK authorities are reportedly watching Elon Musk’s social media due to potential security risks linked to his controversial comments
London: So, it turns out British officials are keeping tabs on Elon Musk’s social media. They think he might be a security risk, which is pretty wild, right?
A group in the Home Office is on the case, looking at what Musk posts online. They’re trying to figure out if his comments could pose any threats.
Now, they didn’t confirm the monitoring, but a spokesperson mentioned they often check open-source info to stay updated on online discussions.
This all started after Musk made some pretty inflammatory remarks about Jess Phillips, a minister in the UK. He called her a “rape genocide apologist” and suggested she should be jailed. Yikes!
And it gets even juicier. Reports say Musk has been chatting with some pals about how he could help kick Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer out of office before the next election.
He’s even thinking about backing right-wing parties like Reform UK to shake things up. Talk about stirring the pot!
Musk has also been at odds with the government over inquiries into child sex abuse grooming gangs. He wants another national inquiry, but the government is focused on acting on past recommendations that haven’t been put into action yet.
Jess Phillips recently shared that she’s been hit with a “deluge of hate” since Musk’s comments. She feels like there’s been an attempt to bully her, which is just awful.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister called out Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch for spreading “lies and misinformation,” saying it doesn’t help the victims of child sexual abuse.
And the Conservatives are firing back, accusing Labour MPs of ignoring justice for victims of grooming gangs after their call for an inquiry was turned down.
