Road closures are set to affect traffic in Kidderminster, Bewdley, and Stourport with various utility works scheduled
First up is Abberley Avenue in Stourport. They’re closing a section from Wenlock Way to Abberley Avenue for a day on January 30, 2025. This is to replace a manhole, and you can take Redhouse Road as an alternative.
Next, Coventry Street in Kidderminster will see closures from January 26, 2025, for a day. They’re laying down some anti-skid material, so expect some detours via Blackwell Street and St. Marys Ringway.
Over in Torton, Torton Lane will be closed for three days starting January 27, 2025, for utility work. The detour will take you along Droitwich Road and Worcester Road.
Kidderminster is also getting some work done on Sculthorpe Road. They’ll be closing it for three days starting January 27, 2025, to put in a new vehicle crossing. You can still get around via Mill Lane.
In Stourport, Wilden Top Road and Summerway Lane will be closed for five days starting January 6, 2025, for telecom work. The alternative route will take you through Hillary Road and Wilden Road.
Bewdley’s Park Lane will be closed for three days starting January 6, 2025, for duct clearance. You can use Load Street and Welch Gate to get around.
Elm Grove in Stourport will also be closed for three days starting January 6, 2025, for more duct clearance. The detour will be via Redhouse Road and Kings Arms Lane.
Lastly, Sladd Lane in Wolverley will be closed for three days starting January 6, 2025, for boundary box renewal. You can take Drakelow Lane and Wolverley Village as a detour.
So, if you’re in these areas, keep an eye out for the closures and plan your routes accordingly. Safe travels!
