Police are searching for a man who attempted to abduct a three-year-old girl in Wolverhampton, prompting community concern and investigations.
Wolverhampton: So, there’s this really alarming situation that happened recently. A guy with red eyes tried to grab a three-year-old girl right outside her home. Thankfully, her mom was there and stopped him before he could get away.
This all went down on Thursday evening. The police got a call about it around 5:15 PM. The little girl was outside with a relative when this man approached. After the mom intervened, he took off towards Harrow Street.
Luckily, the girl wasn’t hurt, but it’s still super scary for everyone involved. The police are doing everything they can to find this guy. They’re checking CCTV footage and talking to people in the neighborhood.
They described the suspect as mixed race, in his 20s or 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with short curly dark hair and facial hair. His eyes were brown but looked a bit red, which is pretty unusual.
Local officers are out and about to reassure the community, but they’re treating this as an isolated incident for now. Detective Inspector Nicola Pestel mentioned that they’re moving quickly to track this guy down.
