Grantham: So, here’s the scoop. Vine Street Makers is shutting down at the end of this month. Kathy Lloyd and her partner Steve are retiring and moving to Long Bennington.

Kathy has been a big part of the shop since it opened in September 2022. She worked alongside Rose Raw-Rees, who runs the upholstery business in the same studio.

After a while, Kathy’s daughter-in-law, Gen, joined her, but then Gen decided to train as an ADHD coach. So, Kathy stepped back in to keep things running.

But now, with their move and the opening of two new shops in town, it just felt right for them to close up. Kathy mentioned how it’s been great to see the local handmade scene grow.

She’s really grateful for all the support over the years and has loved meeting so many creative folks. It’s been a lovely little community.

Now, Rose is looking into what to do with the shop space. It’s a bittersweet moment, but it sounds like they’re all excited for what’s next.
