The crew, a guy and a girl, were out at a nightclub called Bar One. They were just trying to get back to their hotel when things took a turn for the worse.
Virgin Australia is aware of what happened and has sent a team to help the crew. They’re really focused on making sure the crew members are okay.
According to the police, the man was robbed, and the woman was assaulted. The guy even had to get treated for some facial injuries. It’s a tough situation.
Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs knows about the incident but can’t say much due to privacy rules. The crew members are staying in their hotel rooms for now, just waiting things out.
Teri O’Toole from the Flight Attendants’ Association mentioned that they’re waiting for official help. She explained that the crew was on an overnight layover, which is pretty standard.
She also said it’s important not to jump to conclusions about what happened and to respect the crew’s privacy. It’s a scary situation, especially for their families and friends.
