Hounslow plans to develop hundreds of homes, a theatre, and a mental health school by 2025, enhancing local community resources.
Hounslow: Big changes are coming! The borough is gearing up for some exciting developments. They’re planning to build new homes, a theatre, and even a mental health school by 2025. Sounds pretty cool, right?
First up, there’s Holly House in Chiswick. They’re set to kick off construction on a 24-storey block with 255 flats, including affordable options. Plus, it’ll have office and retail spaces, which could create a bunch of local jobs.
Then there’s Churchill House in Brentford, where they’re replacing an old warehouse with 74 new homes. Some of these will be affordable too, and they’re even planning a rooftop garden. Nice touch!
Brentford is also getting a new arts centre, which will include a theatre for live performances. It’s all about bringing some culture to the area, and they’re hoping it’ll attract big acts.
Over on Hanworth Road, they’re transforming an old dye works into a new school for mental health and some flats. The school will cater to 90 students and include community sports facilities. They’re really trying to make a positive impact.
Lastly, Isleworth is set to see 164 new homes at the former Homebase site. There’s been some back and forth on the design, but they’re making adjustments to fit in better with the neighborhood.
So, it looks like Hounslow is on the rise! With all these projects, the community is about to get a serious upgrade. Exciting times ahead!
