Inpressed Dry Cleaners in Wickford High Street was broken into again, losing £1,500 in garments and a laptop, leaving the owner devastated
Thieves smashed the front window and made off with £1,500 worth of clothes and Seyhan Yorganci’s laptop, which had personal and work info.
Seyhan is understandably upset. He mentioned that just six weeks ago, he faced a similar situation. He’s still dealing with the last insurance claim.
“I can’t believe this is happening again,” he said. “I’ve been here for over ten years, and now I have to think about getting security shutters.”
The recent crime wave has also affected other local businesses like Posh Boys Taprooms and the Post Office Depot.
Seyhan is trying to keep his shop open despite the damage. He’s using black bags to cover the broken glass.
A police spokesperson confirmed they received reports of the break-in and are asking anyone with information to come forward. They want any CCTV or dash cam footage that might help catch the culprits.
