A Windsor man faces charges after a serious crash left a pedestrian in critical condition
Windsor: A man from Windsor has been arrested following a serious accident that left a pedestrian in his 70s fighting for his life. The incident happened on January 2 when a heavy goods vehicle was maneuvering at A1 Metal Recycling in Wokingham and collided with the elderly man.
As of now, the victim is still in the hospital, battling life-threatening injuries. The 44-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and being over the drug limit. He’s been released on bail while the investigation continues.

The police spokesperson confirmed that the crash occurred around 2:50 PM when the HGV, which was transporting cars, hit the pedestrian. The man in his seventies is receiving treatment for serious injuries, and the driver is under investigation.
