A woman has been charged with the murder of a father of six during Christmas celebrations in Staffordshire
Staffordshire: A tragic incident unfolded when a 33-year-old woman was charged with murdering a father of six on Christmas Day. Kirsty Carless is accused of killing Louis Price, who was just 31 years old.
Louis was found dead at a home in Norton Canes early Wednesday morning. Police got a call around 3:30 AM about a man having a cardiac arrest, but sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
We still don’t know the exact cause of his death, but a post-mortem was done the day after Christmas. A neighbor shared how heartbroken Louis’s parents must be, especially since they were away on holiday when this happened.
It’s just unimaginable to have something like this happen on Christmas. The whole community is in shock and mourning. It’s really hard to wrap your head around.
Staffordshire Police mentioned they’ve referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct because of some recent police contact.
Louis’s family paid tribute to him, saying he was always smiling and brought joy wherever he went. He loved fishing and often went on trips with friends and family. Football was another passion; he played for a team and was a lifelong Aston Villa supporter.
They expressed their devastation, saying losing Louis has left a huge void in their lives. Christmas was always a time for family, and losing him during this season makes it even more painful.
Kirsty Carless is set to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday. More updates will follow.
