Norton Canes: A woman named Kirsty Carless, 33, has been charged with murdering her partner, Louis Price, 31, on Christmas Day. The incident took place at his home in Staffordshire during the early hours of December 25.

It’s heartbreaking to think that just weeks before, Price had welcomed a new baby girl into the world. He was a father of six and was well-loved in the community.

Price lived with his dad and stepmom, who both had their own jobs in the area. Sadly, while his parents were enjoying a holiday in the Maldives, they received the shocking news about their son.

In court, Carless only confirmed she could hear the proceedings. She’s been remanded in custody and is set to appear again on January 31 for a plea hearing.

There’s a provisional trial scheduled for June 2, which is expected to last a couple of weeks. Local residents reported hearing distressing sounds that night, with some saying they heard a woman screaming.

Carless, who had an on-and-off relationship with Price, was arrested at the scene. His family expressed their devastation, saying life will never be the same without him, especially during the festive season.

They shared how much he loved his six kids and how he was a devoted fisherman and Aston Villa fan. His family feels a huge void in their lives now.

Staffordshire Police were called to the house after reports of a man having a cardiac arrest. They’ve referred themselves to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to recent police contact, but the cause of death is still under wraps.
