A woman has been sentenced for making over 300 hoax calls to emergency services, wasting police time and resources in Brighton.

As part of her sentence, she’s also banned from drinking alcohol for four months. The court really wants her to get her act together, so she has to attend rehabilitation sessions too.
During the court hearing, it was revealed that she had a history of similar offenses. The police said her calls were not just annoying; they were abusive and took away time from real emergencies.
It’s a shame because the police have to deal with enough stress without having to handle hoax calls. They deserve to be treated with respect, and it’s just not right for anyone to abuse them while they’re doing their job.
