A woman was discovered dead in a restaurant toilet after three days, leaving her family devastated and seeking answers.
Blackpool: It’s a tragic story. A woman named Sabrina Marlynn Lyttle, just 47, was found dead in a restaurant toilet after being there for three days. Her daughter, Jade Casey, is heartbroken and can’t believe it took so long for anyone to notice.
Jade and her grandmother, Christine, are left wondering why Sabrina went into the toilet in the first place. They say no one from the restaurant checked on her, even when customers complained about not being able to get in. It’s just so sad to think she was there alone while people were dining nearby.
Jade shared that the police told them customers thought the toilet was just locked, so they didn’t think much of it. When they finally opened the door, they found Sabrina. Jade feels angry, thinking that if the staff had done their usual checks, her mom might have been found sooner.
They still don’t know what caused her death, but Jade mentioned that part of her wishes her mom could have gotten help if she was struggling. CCTV footage showed Sabrina entering the restaurant on November 28, and Jade believes she might have locked herself in the disabled toilet to avoid asking for a key.
Jade, who lives in Fleetwood, remembers her mom as a kind and funny person, despite her struggles with addiction and homelessness over the years. It’s clear that Sabrina was loved, and her family is now left to cope with this heartbreaking loss.
A spokesperson from Lancashire Police confirmed they were called to the scene on November 30 and found a woman in her 40s. They assured that the death isn’t being treated as suspicious, and they’re preparing a report for the coroner.
The Gurkha Buffet Restaurant has been contacted for a comment, but for now, Jade and her family are just trying to process this unimaginable situation.
