A woman has been identified after a tragic accident involving a tow truck and a car in south London
Brixton: A tragic incident occurred when Safia Ali, a woman in her 50s, was walking along Brixton Road. It was just before 7 PM on October 1 when she was struck.
First, a tow truck hit her and didn’t stop. Then, a car came along and hit her too, but the driver of that car stayed at the scene. Sadly, despite the paramedics’ best efforts, she was pronounced dead right there.
Police have informed her family and are providing them with support. They also arrested a man for not stopping after the accident and for causing death by dangerous driving. He’s been released on bail while they continue their investigation.
