Cheshire Oaks: So, there’s this woman named Oita Lavinia who showed up in court recently. She’s from Warrington and was in trouble for stealing some clothes.

She was charged with theft, and it turns out her accomplice had already been sentenced earlier in the summer. Now, Lavinia, who’s 54, got a suspended sentence because she’s planning to head back home soon.

The prosecutor, Kassem Noureddine, explained that the theft happened at the North Face store in Cheshire Oaks. This all went down on January 21 last year when Lavinia and her partner in crime, Mirela Luca, swiped clothing worth nearly a grand.

Luca, who’s 35 and lives near Warrington, admitted to the crime and got a community order back in July. But Lavinia denied it and was found guilty, leading to her suspended jail term.

She was sentenced to 12 weeks in jail, but it’s suspended for a year since she’s just visiting the UK and will be back in Romania soon.

On top of that, she has to pay £650 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £154. The court noted that her actions were serious and showed a blatant disregard for others and their property.
