A woman was sentenced after taking a car and assaulting police on the M56 following a crash
Winsford: So, there was this incident on the M56 where Victoria Dobson got into some serious trouble. She took a car without asking and ended up in a crash. Not cool, right?
After the crash, things got wild. She started spitting and kicking at the police officers who showed up. Can you believe that? It’s like she just lost it.
Victoria, who’s 41, went to court and got a suspended sentence. She pleaded guilty to a bunch of charges, including taking the car and assaulting the officers.
The whole mess happened around 9:50 PM on September 27 last year. It involved her driving a BMW and crashing into a Renault. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt.
The court heard how she was arrested right there on the scene. But instead of cooperating, she just kept being a pain, refusing to give a sample for testing.
The magistrates were pretty serious about her actions. They said it was bad enough to consider jail time. But since she admitted her guilt and is trying to turn things around, they gave her a break.
She got 48 weeks in prison, but it’s suspended for 18 months. During that time, she has to do some community service and attend rehabilitation sessions.
Plus, she can’t drive for three years. The court also made sure she has to pay back some money, taking it from her benefits.
