Darlington: So, there was this pretty scary incident on Sunday evening. A woman was just walking home along the Faverdale Black Path when a guy came up to her with a knife.

He demanded money, but she stood her ground and didn’t give him anything. Smart move! The guy then took off down the steps and disappeared.

Luckily, she wasn’t hurt, but you can imagine how shaken up she must be after that. It all happened around 5:50 PM, which is pretty unsettling.

Now, Durham Constabulary is on the case. They’re asking anyone who might have seen something to come forward and help out.

They described the suspect as a young man in a grey tracksuit, wearing a dark mask and a hood. He was even carrying a Sainsbury’s bag, which is a bit odd.

If you know anything, you can call the police at 101 and mention the crime reference number CRI00590520. You can also reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
