Kelyan Bokassa, a 14-year-old boy, was tragically killed in Woolwich, with his mother claiming he was groomed by gangs.
Woolwich: A young boy named Kelyan Bokassa was tragically stabbed on a bus. He was just 14 years old and loved Arsenal FC. The incident happened on the 472 bus around 2:30 PM.
His mother, Mary, is heartbroken and says Kelyan was groomed by gangs. She mentioned he was on his way to see his social worker when the attack occurred. It was his first day back at school.
Mary described Kelyan as a caring and polite boy who had a good sense of humor. She shared how they had to move around a lot, and he spent four years in care without much progress. It was tough for her to get in touch with him.
After being missing for a year, Kelyan returned home, but he was sick and underweight. Mary said he had been taken advantage of by local gangs and exposed to drugs.
She could tell something was off with him. He wouldn’t talk about his friends, and she felt he was being manipulated. It’s heartbreaking to think about what he went through.
Mary recalled how Kelyan lived on the streets for a year after running away from a children’s home. But when he came back, he expressed his love for her in a unique way—by writing graffiti on their balcony.
The school he briefly attended expressed sadness over his death. They’re offering support to students affected by this tragic event. Many people have shared tributes online, using the hashtag Long Live Kelyan.
