Elgar Coffee Shop in Worcester offers a delightful mix of Nepalese and Indian cuisine in a charming setting
Worcester: If you haven’t checked out Elgar Coffee Shop yet, you’re missing out! Nestled in Reindeer Court, this cozy spot serves up some amazing Nepalese and Indian dishes.
It’s a bit off the main shopping paths, so many folks don’t even know it’s there. But trust me, it’s worth the hunt. The cafe has been around for over 20 years, and it’s been through some changes.
Mustafa Gocman, the previous owner, used to whip up Turkish delights before passing the torch to Raj Kunwar in July 2023. Since then, Raj has added his own Nepalese flair to the menu, and people are loving it!
With outdoor seating under a cozy canopy, it’s a great place to relax. One reviewer on Tripadvisor said, “I believe these guys are incapable of cooking a bad meal.” That’s high praise!
They rave about the Nepalese food, saying it’s a must-try. The staff also get a lot of love for being super friendly and welcoming.
The cafe’s interior is charming, with wooden beams and an open brick design that adds to the atmosphere. Another happy customer called it an “amazing find” with delicious food and great flavors.

During the day, they still serve some Turkish dishes, but in the evening, it’s all about the Nepalese flavors. Raj also runs a couple of curry houses in Malvern, so he knows his stuff!
