A Wrexham man has been sentenced to three years for multiple burglaries, including stealing bikes worth £15,000 and ramming stores.
He rammed a stolen car into two shops, trying to steal stuff. Then, he made off with £15,000 worth of bikes from a shop in Holywell.
In court, he admitted to two burglary charges. The police were on it, and they say he caused a lot of damage during his spree.
On September 10, he drove a stolen Land Rover into a store on Victoria Road, causing serious damage. He didn’t stop there; he hit another service station in Mold, grabbing items inside.
Just a week later, he broke into a bike shop by smashing a window and took off with a bunch of expensive bikes.
They found a phone at his place with pictures of the stolen bikes and messages about selling one. Sadly, none of the bikes were recovered, but they did find a stolen bike rack in his garden.
The investigating officer, PC Connor Fenwick, said this sentence shows that crime won’t be tolerated in North Wales. He hopes the community feels safer knowing that they’re on the case.
