Prestonpans: The 3 Harbours Arts Festival has officially ended. It struggled to find funding and volunteers. Last September, they held a relaunch event. Over 1,000 people attended, but the festival couldn’t continue in 2022 or 2023.

The festival started in 2006 and celebrated local arts. It featured various venues, including homes as art galleries. Notable artists like Richard Demarco and violinist Tasmin Little participated in past events.

Organizers hoped to host a full festival this June. Unfortunately, they couldn’t secure funding. Adele Conn, the festival organizer, expressed doubts about its return. She encouraged others to start a new arts festival if they can find support.

The festival’s statement thanked everyone involved. They appreciated the community’s support during the relaunch. However, they faced challenges in obtaining funding for future events. The decision to dissolve was difficult but necessary. They hope the creativity of the area can be celebrated again someday.
