All Aboard Youth Rowing Club is reaching out for local business support to enhance youth rowing programs and community engagement.
Warrington: All Aboard Youth Rowing (AAYR) helps kids through rowing. They focus on social, health, and educational benefits. Many kids receive free meals through this program.
The charity relies on coaches and volunteers, including parents and teachers. They work together to support the kids and promote teamwork.
AAYR is asking local businesses for help. They want to spread the joy of rowing and social inclusion in the community.
Currently, AAYR runs 39 sessions each week. They’ve already helped over 1,200 young people but need more support to continue their work.
If you own a local business, there are ways to help. AAYR is organizing a boat race challenge to raise funds and build community.
They need four brave competitors for each team. The race distance is 6,778 meters, the same as the famous Boat Race on the River Thames.
Participants can win prizes and merchandise. AAYR will provide rowing machines and a briefing at your location.
Marathon Mission
Chris Farrel, Head of Community at British Rowing, will run the London Marathon in April for AAYR. He’s a former world record holder in tandem rowing.
Chris has raised over £100 and aims for £500. He’s looking for local businesses to donate or join him in the marathon.
He said, “Any support and donations will be very much welcomed as I start my journey and months of training towards this fantastic event.”
Chris hopes to raise vital funds for AAYR and make everyone proud.
AAYR also hosts a monthly networking group for local businesses. This event helps people connect and share their passions.
They continue their year-long program to inspire hope in young lives. Any support from businesses or individuals can help AAYR grow.
