Wrexham: Exciting news! The Nightingale House Hospice is hosting a 5k and 10k run at Alyn Waters on Saturday, April 5. Elise Jackson, the events manager, shared her enthusiasm about the event.

This run is open to everyone, no matter your skill level. It’s a chance to enjoy a beautiful course while raising funds for the hospice’s patient care services.

Participants can choose between a 5k or 10k run, and there’s even a 1km dash for kids. It’s a great way for families to get involved and have fun together.

To join in, runners are encouraged to raise at least £30 in sponsorship. Every penny goes towards supporting the hospice, making each step count for a good cause.

With sponsorship from GHP Legal and P&A Group, this year’s event is set to be a highlight in the community. The course will be well-marked and marshalled, with some fun challenges along the way.

New this year, chip-timed results will be provided, so runners will know their times right as they finish. It’s all about making the experience smooth and enjoyable.

Elise emphasized that this event is more than just a run; it’s a chance for the community to come together and enjoy the lovely surroundings of Alyn Waters while making a difference.

Registration is open until the event day, but early birds can save on entry fees. Just remember, runners need to be at least 11 for the 5k and 15 for the 10k. The kids’ dash is open for same-day registration.
