Auchinleck: Just before the holiday season, Tesco in Auchinleck reached out to shoppers for help. They wanted to gather toys for families whose kids might miss out on gifts.

And guess what? The community really stepped up! Shoppers donated around 100 toys, which will be given to kids who wouldn’t have received anything otherwise.

It was amazing to see everyone come together. Those brand-new toys went to charity Yipworld, bringing smiles to many little faces on Christmas Day.

Claire De Silva, who heads community efforts at Tesco, expressed her gratitude. She said, “We really can’t thank our customers enough for their kind contributions to this great cause.”

She added that the local support throughout the year has been incredible. It’s clear that the spirit of Christmas is alive and well in Auchinleck.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, many children will have a happier holiday, especially during a time that can be tough for some families. Plus, Tesco also donated £25,000 to the Salvation Army to help vulnerable families during the festive season.
