Exciting news for Banbury! A popular burger spot is moving to the High Street, promising tasty eats and a fresh vibe for locals.
Banbury: Signs are popping up on the old TSB building on High Street, announcing that Original Gyro Smash (OGS) will be opening soon. This place is already a hit on Parson Street, serving up burgers, chips, and chicken wings.
The owner, Mr. Hassan, applied for planning permission last year to transform the vacant TSB site, which has been empty since May 31, 2023. The new signs promise a bigger and better OGS experience.
According to the planning documents, they’ve outgrown their current spot and want to expand. The plan includes hot food services and takeaway options on the ground floor, plus some residential units above.
They’re aiming to make the most of the empty space, with all food cooked on-site and featuring high-quality gourmet options. The owner mentioned there won’t be many changes to the building’s exterior, keeping the look pretty much the same.
They’re also looking to create four one-bedroom flats on the upper floors, which sounds like a neat addition to the area. So, if you’re a burger lover, keep an eye out for OGS opening soon!
