Most problems, about 55%, are with mobile banking. Others are facing issues with online banking and bill payments.
Barclays acknowledged the problems, saying they are experiencing some system issues. They have over 10 million digital users, with many relying solely on mobile services.
Frustrated customers took to social media. One user expressed disappointment after 20 years with Barclays, considering switching banks.
Another user complained about the timing, saying it’s frustrating on payday when people need access to their wages.
Barclays responded on social media, apologizing for the inconvenience. They mentioned that some app features and online banking are affected.
They also noted that customers can still use their cards and ATMs as usual.
