Amelia Trust Farm near Barry hosts “Share the Love” during half term, letting kids meet cuddly animals and learn about animal care.
Volunteers are very important at the farm. Over 50 people help each week, giving more than 130 hours of their time.

Kids near Barry can meet animals soon. This opportunity is part of the “Share the Love” event, which happens during February break.
“Share the Love” is a fun, short activity. Kids get to meet and interact with small, cuddly animals.
A member of the animal care team leads it. Children can hold and pet the smaller, gentle animals.
This event is designed for kids aged four and up. It’s a great way to meet animals and helps families who are thinking about getting pets.
Animal interaction builds confidence and helps kids relax. The farm offers a safe, fun place for this learning.
Amelia Trust Farm is a care farm and sanctuary. It’s home to 20 animal species, including rabbits and donkeys.
Animals help the farm’s work with young people. A charity, supported by the farm, protects the environment which benefits everyone.
The farm teaches about animal welfare. Public donations have supplied all the animals, and people can visit 364 days a year.
They host events, like “Be A Farmer For The Day,” where kids aged 8-12 do farm tasks. They learn about farming during it.
The GROW program helps kids aged 11-16. Schools refer students struggling there, as the program is very helpful to them.
It has given over 60 students skills to progress to college or find their first job. The farm offers a safe space for this growth.
The farm gives teens a better future, gives animals good lives, and protects nature for all.
