A Basildon girl finally made her dream trip to Disneyworld after a year of community fundraising, bringing joy to her family and friends.
Basildon: Bobbi Bewley, a brave girl from Basildon, faced a tough diagnosis last November. She has wolfram disorder, which affects her sight and hearing. But instead of letting it get her down, her family rallied together to make her dream come true.
They launched a fundraising campaign to take Bobbi to Disneyworld, where she dreamed of swimming with dolphins. The community really stepped up, donating generously and even providing a free stay in a lovely six-bedroom villa.
When they finally made the trip, it was magical. Bobbi got to swim with dolphins, visit all the Disney parks, and meet her favorite princesses. Her mom, Jodie, said seeing Bobbi’s joy was unforgettable. They made memories that will last a lifetime.
Of course, the trip had its challenges. Bobbi fell ill during their stay and had to visit urgent care. Thankfully, she was treated and kept her spirits high. Jodie mentioned that despite the ups and downs, the trip was a beacon of hope for their family.
Now back home, Jodie expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this trip possible. They couldn’t have saved up in time, so the community’s support meant the world to them. They’re looking forward to creating more beautiful memories with Bobbi in the future.
Bobbi’s condition is still a concern, but there’s hope for new treatments this year that could help manage her symptoms. The family remains optimistic and grateful for all the love and support they’ve received.
