Beckfoot Heaton has been recognized for its commitment to fostering healthy relationships among students, thanks to the RE:SET program.
Bradford: Beckfoot Heaton just snagged the RE:SET Healthy Relationship Champion Setting Award from Tender, an education charity. How cool is that?
The award was handed out during a fun celebration event on January 20. Headteacher Zoe Mawson was there to accept it from Testament, a talented writer and beatboxer who supports Tender.
RE:SET is making waves in over 65 schools across the UK. It’s all about helping schools create a culture of equality and compassion.
Angharad Turner-Fielder, who manages the program for Tender North, shared how important it is to give kids the tools they need to build healthy friendships and challenge negative attitudes.
She said, “With Beckfoot Heaton’s dedicated team, we’re embedding values that can stick with students for life.”
Zoe Mawson chimed in, emphasizing that it’s never too early to teach respect and compassion. Tender’s program is designed to make a lasting impact.
