Berkshire shines as a top spot for new businesses, thanks to its growth and connectivity, making it a great place for entrepreneurs to thrive
Berkshire: It’s been named the third-best county in the UK for new businesses, and that’s pretty exciting! The analysis looked at things like how many start-ups popped up last year, growth rates, and even broadband speeds.
Being just 48 miles from London is a big plus for Berkshire. Plus, with an average broadband speed of 88.5Mbps, it’s a great spot for entrepreneurs who need reliable internet.
In the last year alone, 4,865 new businesses set up shop in Berkshire, and 235 of those are considered high-growth. That’s a lot of opportunities for anyone looking to start something new!
The county has a talented workforce and a buzzing economy, which makes it even more appealing. But guess what? The West Midlands took the top spot with a whopping 13,785 new businesses. They really know how to attract start-ups!
Hertfordshire came in second, thanks to its close proximity to London, just 16 miles away. It’s a hotspot for new businesses too, with over 230 high-growth companies.
Andy Conibere, the CEO of Trooli, mentioned how important connectivity is for business success. He wasn’t surprised to see southern counties leading the way, given their reliable broadband and steady growth.
Overall, it’s a great time to be an entrepreneur in Berkshire and beyond, with plenty of support and opportunities to grow!
