Join Taylor’s Dance Company for a fun-filled free morning of dance activities and excitement for all ages this January
Braintree: Niki Taylor started Taylor’s Dance Company nearly ten years ago. It began in Colchester with just ten kids and has now expanded to Braintree, serving around 270 children.
For five years, the company has been a staple in Braintree, offering classes for kids as young as three and even for adults.
They also provide a chance to take IDTA exams, and recently, all 143 students passed with flying colors. How awesome is that?
Niki, 35, always dreamed of running her own dance school. She’s super proud of the close-knit vibe at her school and the happiness it brings to everyone involved.
She shared, “I love every bit of it. Dancing builds confidence and teaches kids that practice pays off.”
“When you’re dancing, you can’t think about anything else. You’re focused on your movements, and for that hour, it’s just about the dance. It’s such a relief.”
A highlight for Niki has been the performances at the Mercury Theatre, where they’ve entertained over 200 people, often selling out.
She mentioned, “Many kids said those shows were the best days of their lives. It’s heartwarming to see those who were nervous shine on stage and have a blast.”
“Dancing brings joy and is fantastic exercise.”
The free open morning will feature glitter tattoos for kids, a chance to try on real show costumes, and a photo booth with staff and current students ready to chat.
Visitors can sample various dance styles, including ballet, tap, modern dance, acro, and even musical theatre and singing classes.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 26, from 10 am to 12 pm at The Institute. For more details, check out www.taylorsdancecompany.co.uk or find them on Facebook.
