Bristol Airport is booming, welcoming over ten million passengers in 2024, a 7% rise from last year. Exciting new routes are on the horizon!
People are flocking to European cities for weekend getaways and business trips. There’s been a huge demand for flights to Amsterdam and Paris, which is pretty cool.
They’ve also added new routes to places like Istanbul, Tromso, and Agadir. More options mean more adventures, right?
And it’s not just flights; the bus service is packed too! The Airport Flyer, which connects Bristol and Weston-super-Mare, had 1.3 million passengers.
Dave Lees, the CEO, is thrilled about the growth. He mentioned how many folks from the south west and South Wales are choosing Bristol Airport, especially with all the new destinations.
He also shared plans for the future, aiming to meet the rising demand and improve the overall experience for travelers.
Plus, these developments could create over 37,000 jobs in the region, including an extra 1,000 at the airport itself. Exciting times ahead!
