Annandale: A new community group is here to help. Brydekirk Buddies is all about bringing people together for fun and friendly chats.

Launched in early January by Alzheimer Scotland, this group aims to create a space for socializing and staying active.

Every Wednesday morning, from 10 am to 12 pm, folks can gather at Brydekirk Village Hall. It’s open to everyone in the area.

The sessions provide support for those living with dementia and their caregivers. It’s also a great chance to learn about brain health.

Participants can enjoy activities like arts and crafts, music, and baking. Plus, there will be tea, coffee, and biscuits!

Lynn Janssen from Alzheimer Scotland encourages everyone to join. She says it’s a free, fun group for the whole community.

No need to book ahead—just show up at Brydekirk Village Hall. You can join in on activities or just enjoy a chat over a cuppa.

This new group is eager to welcome everyone and spread the word!
