Rattray: A fire broke out at a vacant shop on High Street. It happened around 10:30 AM on Monday. Four fire engines responded to the scene.
Firefighters worked hard for over two hours to control the blaze. Nearby roads were closed during this time. After the fire was out, police found cannabis plants in the damaged building.
Authorities are investigating both the fire’s cause and the cannabis discovery. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the building was evacuated as a safety measure.
The A926 road was closed but has since reopened. The owner of a nearby pub reported power issues due to the fire. He mentioned they had to wait for electricity before opening.
