The Chard Inner Wheel Club recently held a fun bingo night to raise funds, bringing together the community for a great cause and some friendly competition
Chard: The Chard Inner Wheel Club recently hosted a lively bingo night at The Guildhall. It was a fun event, and even though many players were new to the game, the competition was fierce.
Heather Eggins did a fantastic job calling the numbers, and the club made sure to thank her for her efforts. It’s always nice to see someone step up and help out.
They also expressed their appreciation to local businesses that donated prizes. A big shoutout to The Original Factory Shop Chard, Tesco’s community team, Alpine Grove, and Jenny’s Café and Bistro, along with club members who contributed.
The top prize was a lovely combo that included a voucher for Jenny’s Café, some seeds and compost in a pot, plus a box of biscuits. Sounds like a sweet deal!
Looking ahead, the club is gearing up for their next tea dance on March 21. It should be another fun gathering for everyone.
In January, they had a meeting at Hornsbury Mill where Richard Harris, the Chard Rotary president, entertained members with a talk about magic. He even let them try out a few tricks, which must have been a blast!
Inner Wheel is a global ladies-only group that offers a chance for members to enjoy a night out while supporting good causes, both locally and around the world.
They’re always busy with various activities, from crafty meet-ups to outings, and they love brainstorming new ideas. It’s all about making connections and having a good time.
The club welcomes visitors to their events and has a Facebook page where they list items they collect for charity. They encourage everyone to pitch in if they can.
