The Cheshire Voluntary Arts Awards will honor community contributions on April 24, 2025
Cheshire: The Cheshire West and Chester Council is backing the Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network. They want to recognize people and groups making a difference through the arts.
This year’s awards will be on Thursday, April 24, at St Mary’s Creative Space in Chester. It’s the eighth annual event, and it promises to be a great evening.
Councillor Lisa Denson mentioned that many inspiring groups and individuals support the arts in the area. She highlighted how arts projects help local communities in various ways.
These projects can boost health and wellbeing, raise money for charities, and spread joy. Now is the time to nominate deserving projects, organizations, leaders, and volunteers.
She encouraged everyone to submit nominations for this year’s awards. Previous attendees have called the event a truly wonderful evening.
One past winner expressed gratitude to CWVAN for a lovely event and felt honored to win an award. Nominations can come from individuals or groups themselves or from others.
Categories include children and youth arts, performing arts, visual arts, music, unsung hero, and the David Woods Award for outstanding contribution. The Outstanding Contribution Award honors the founding chairman of CWVAN.
To nominate someone, fill out an application form and send it to artswest@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk. You can download the form from the council’s website.
Make sure to submit your application by 9 am on Monday, March 7, 2025.
