City Cruises is launching a new Riverbus service to The Riverfront York, offering a unique travel experience from April to September
York: City Cruises is gearing up to launch a new Riverbus service that will run from April to September. This route will take visitors from the city center to Bishopthorpe without any traffic hassles.
Along the way, passengers can enjoy stunning views of the historic Bishopthorpe Place, which dates back to the 13th century. Plus, there are plenty of fun spots to check out, like Bosun’s restaurant and various water activities.
While the Riverbus is mainly for transportation, it still offers the same amenities as sightseeing boats, including toilets and a bar. So, you can relax and enjoy the ride.
Kerrie Cook, who owns the Riverfront York, shared her excitement about this new route. She believes it will attract more visitors and enhance their experience during the summer months.
They’re also making sure the riverside pontoons are accessible for everyone, so getting on and off the Riverbus will be a breeze.
Christopher Pegg from City Cruises expressed his enthusiasm too. He mentioned that traveling by river gives a unique view of the city, and with the new stop at Bishopthorpe, there are even more chances to explore.
Kerrie and Phil Cook took over the Riverfront York venue not long ago and have made some great upgrades. They now offer a caravan park, cabins, a café bar, and even a beauty salon, along with various river activities.
Bosun’s restaurant is becoming a favorite dining spot in York, known for its fresh, seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients.
City Cruises has been around since 1977 and serves around 221,000 people each year with a variety of options, from sightseeing to private hires.
Customer satisfaction is at an all-time high, with their Fish & Chips cruise and self-drive boat hire receiving rave reviews.
