Clacton: The Clacton Lions Club worked hard in November and December. They raised money through bucket collections, raffles, and even dressed as elves.

Their efforts paid off, bringing in £4,800 for various charities in the Tendring area.

Liz Godden, the club’s vice president, shared their excitement. They donated £675 each to five local foodbanks: Brightlingsea, Clacton, Walton and District, Manningtree, and Harwich.

Smaller donations went to Foodcycle Clacton, The Brooklands Community Shop, and other local groups.

Morrisons Little Clacton has supported the Lions Club for over 25 years. In return, the club donated £675 to Marie Curie, their chosen charity.

Mrs. Godden emphasized that all members are volunteers. They appreciate the public’s support, which makes their work possible.
