John Horn, a cocaine gang leader, was arrested in Ramsgate while in his underwear, facing serious drug charges and lengthy prison sentences.
Ramsgate: A shocking scene unfolded when police arrested John Horn, a tattooed cocaine gang leader. He was caught sitting on his sofa in just his boxers.
Bodycam footage shows Horn scrambling for a pillow to cover himself. He looked stunned as officers read him his rights. Horn simply replied, “yep,” while rubbing his face.
Police arrested him on March 21 last year. They discovered he was running a cocaine distribution operation in Thanet. Horn relied on fellow dealer Oliver Eyles to help manage the gang.
Five gang members faced Canterbury Crown Court. They all pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy charges. Horn received a six-and-a-half-year sentence, while Eyles got five years and six months.
Other gang members received various sentences. Joseph Shuttleworth will serve two years and four months. Jason Tse was sentenced to three years and ten months. Christopher Palmer received a two-year suspended sentence.
Detective Constable Nicola Emery stated that organized crime groups operate like businesses. Horn was at the top of this network, avoiding direct drug handling. However, police were aware of his activities.
This arrest marks a significant victory for Kent Police in their fight against Class A drug supply. The sentences will keep these criminals behind bars for a long time.
