Bromley: Copper Ceylon is the brainchild of Haran and Lavan Thurairajah. They started this cozy spot to share the vibrant flavors of Sri Lanka. The restaurant has a lively dining area, a bar, and even a party space that stays open until 2 AM on weekends.
In just five years, they’ve racked up some impressive awards, including ‘Best Restaurant London Suburbs’ at the British Curry Awards in 2022. Not too shabby, right?
To celebrate this milestone, they threw a fantastic party with Grey Goose, featuring a lineup of Sri Lankan-inspired cocktails and a sneak peek at their new 2025 menu.
Celebrity guests like Fred Siriex from Channel 4’s First Dates and JLS’s Oritsé Williams were there, adding a touch of glamour to the night. The Mayor and Mayoress of Bromley, along with the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, also joined the festivities.
The new menu is a nod to Sri Lanka’s rich culinary traditions, crafted by renowned chef Marcus Wareing. Dishes like Jaffna Mutton Curry and Vegan Lemon Pudding are sure to delight.
