Matt Milburn returns as Tommy Orpington in Coronation Street this spring
Manchester: Matt Milburn is back as Tommy Orpington in Coronation Street. He’ll return this spring after last appearing in July 2022. Fans are excited to see him again.
Tommy, a painter and decorator, was hired by Tracy McDonald to renovate her bedroom. They started a romance, which upset her partner, Steve. Tommy then got a job as a football coach in Spain.
However, Tracy revealed that Tommy’s contract was ending, and they would return to the UK. Matt is thrilled to reprise his role after performing in a Christmas pantomime.
His return will be a short stint, according to sources. This follows a serious cancer storyline involving Kevin Webster and his wife, Abi. Kevin recently shared his testicular cancer diagnosis with friends and family.
Abi confided in Nina about her grief and worries for Kevin’s health. In a recent episode, Abi faced a panic attack while waiting for Kevin’s ultrasound results. Kevin was surprised to see his sister Debbie at the hospital instead of Abi.
When he got home, he found Abi on the couch. He reassured her that he would get his scan results in a couple of weeks.
