Manchester: Craig David has been making music for 25 years. His debut album, Born To Do It, made him a star as a teenager. He’s always focused on his music and fans.

Craig remembers his first arena tour. He was just 17 or 18. “I was amazed to see my name above the door,” he said. It was a big change from club shows.

Even after all these years, Craig still feels the same excitement. He loves performing in big venues. “If it feels like just another tour, you’re just ‘in the game’,” he explained.

Craig believes authenticity matters. “People can sense when you’re passionate,” he said. That passion has helped him succeed over the years.

His career has been impressive. Craig has 14 Brit Award nominations and two Grammy nominations. He’s sold over 15 million records worldwide, including hits like Fill Me In and 7 Days.

Talking with his manager, Colin, Craig reflected on his 25 years in music. Colin hopes Craig enjoys the process of performing and creating music.

Craig agrees. “I’m conscious now to enjoy it all,” he said. He still wants to improve but values the journey.

Reaching 25 years in music makes you think about your legacy. Craig wants to leave something memorable for fans.

But he won’t rest on past successes. “You have to humble yourself,” he said. He wants to stay present and treat every studio session like a new beginning.

Craig’s work ethic remains strong. “Doing the work will not be wasted,” he said. His experiences have prepared him for any stage challenges.

With eight albums and new music coming, Craig finds it harder to create setlists. “If I didn’t do 7 Days, there would be problems,” he joked.

Nostalgia is important for fans. Craig wants to give them that special feeling while also introducing new songs.

He believes all his songs can coexist. “I want everyone to enjoy a wholesome meal,” he said, mixing old and new music.

Integrity is key to Craig’s success. He started strong at 17, setting a high bar for himself. “I never want to put out throwaway songs,” he said.
