Aylsham: Ralph Ellis, 68, lost his life in a heartbreaking crash on the M25. He was driving home with his mother’s ashes after visiting her in South Africa.
The accident happened on December 16, just as he was returning from Gatwick Airport. Ralph, who lived in Norfolk, had his mum’s ashes with him in the car.
He was a devoted dad to three kids, Tess, Alex, and Blake, and was looking forward to becoming a grandfather soon. Blake shared how much they will miss their dad.
Ralph was known for being an active and loving father. He taught his kids how to swim, ride bikes, and play sports. Losing him has been tough for the family.
Blake described his dad as a positive person, despite facing some health challenges later in life. Ralph loved snooker, football, and gardening, and he enjoyed live music, especially rock and blues.
Originally from Basildon, Essex, Ralph moved to Norfolk in the 1980s to start a window cleaning business. The police reported that they were called to the scene of the accident, where sadly, Ralph was pronounced dead.
