Dalgety Bay: A public notice from Property Risk Inspection Ltd is stirring up some chatter. They’re looking for info about trees near Rosebery View.

This area, called the ‘Binning Strip,’ has been pretty much abandoned since the landowners went under. Local councillor David Barratt mentioned that some folks got letters asking for details.

He pointed out that no one actually owns the land, so it’s not a council issue. Apparently, there’s been some subsidence affecting a property, and the insurers are on it, hiring a consultant to help out.

David also noted that since the land has no owner, anyone can do work there without needing permission. He’s reached out to the company to clarify who owns the land, which is a bit of a mystery.

Before the landowners went bust, it was owned by Thomas Mitchell Homes. The woodland is protected, so any work done there needs permission, and he’s directed the company to the Council’s Tree Protection Officer.

The notice mentions they’re interested in trees near 3 Rosebery View and the subsidence issues affecting that property. They’re trying to find the landowners to discuss how to handle the situation.

If they can’t find the owner in 30 days, they plan to enter the land and do what’s needed to manage the problem. It’s a bit of a tricky situation, but they’re on it!
