Danny Lee Grew has been named Stage Magician of the Year, impressing audiences with his captivating performances and unique style
Llandudno: Danny Lee Grew just snagged the title of Stage Magician of the Year from the International Brotherhood of Magicians – British Ring. How cool is that?
He went up against some talented magicians in Llandudno and walked away with the trophy for the most entertaining act. Talk about a win!
Before diving into magic full-time, Danny worked for the NHS as a clinical support officer. He used to practice his tricks on colleagues and patients, which is pretty neat.
Now, he’s making waves in the magic world, appearing on TV, in pantomimes, and even headlining shows at holiday resorts and festivals worldwide.
Magic has been Danny’s passion since he was a kid. He recalls watching Sooty and participating in school talent shows, where he often won. His school careers advisor even suggested he have a backup plan!
He’s got a show called ’24K Magic’ coming up at Clacton’s West Cliff Theatre in April, where he’ll be showcasing his award. He believes magic is best experienced live, and he’s excited to share that with everyone.
According to Danny, seeing magic in person is a whole different experience. It’s all about that surprise factor when you realize it’s not just a camera trick!
