Waitrose in Droitwich will now offer 90 minutes of free parking for all customers
Droitwich: Waitrose is making parking easier for its customers. They will now offer 90 minutes of free parking. This change is effective from Monday, March 3.
Before, shoppers had to spend at least £10 to get free parking. But now, that requirement is gone. Customers can park without any restrictions.
A Waitrose spokesperson said they listened to customer feedback. They want to improve the shopping experience for everyone.
Free parking will be available Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is already free on Sundays.
Previously, customers only got one hour of free parking. Now, they get an extra 30 minutes. This is a nice boost for shoppers.
Waitrose took over the High Street Car Park in October 2024. They installed Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras for easy access.
The Ricketts Lane Car Park across the street is still managed by Wychavon District Council. It accepts cash and mobile app payments.
Branch manager Greg Trumper said this new lease shows their commitment to Droitwich. They aim to provide a better shopping experience for everyone.
