Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are adjusting to life in the Cotswolds, facing quirky challenges with their new estate and vintage Land Rover.
Oxford: Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have settled into a beautiful 43-acre estate in the Cotswolds. They even got a vintage Land Rover Defender to embrace their new country vibe.
But here’s the kicker: the car is so wide that they can’t drive it through the village’s width restrictions. It’s a bit of a hassle, as their local pub is just a short walk away, but they have to navigate around some tricky spots.
The pub is only 400 meters away, but they have to make a mile and a half detour to get there. Can you imagine? They’ve even been spotted walking instead of driving.
Their farmhouse is stunning, with six bedrooms, a gym, and even a 55-foot indoor pool. Plus, it has a guest cottage and beautiful gardens. Oh, and there’s a mahogany toilet that came from Sir Michael Caine’s old mansion!
During Storm Bert, the property was surrounded by floodwaters, but thankfully, it didn’t actually flood. Ellen reassured everyone on Instagram that their farmhouse was safe.
Recently, they were seen enjoying a night out at Jeremy Clarkson’s pub with friends, including singer James Blunt. Sounds like they’re settling in just fine!
